October is the month when native Floridians pull out their sweaters feeling that 80s chill in the air. It's actually one of the nicest months of the year here in Florida and Floridians take advantage with many festivals or 'toberfests'. Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach is one of the more popular around these parts, but that's a mid-month affair. First we have to honor Christopher Columbus who I'm sure was himself in the mood to celebrate when land was sighted and the mutiny postponed.
