This list of Things to do in Florida December 31, 2011 - January 1, 2, 2012 kicks off with the Gator Bowl! That's where the Florida Gators will carry on a long time New Year's tradition in Jacksonville taking on Ohio State at Everbank field. For a lot of folks in these parts, the Gator Bowl's the ONLY New Year's celebration there is, but really it's just the beginning. Farther south in Delray Beach you'll find everything from a parade to fireworks at Delray's 'First Night 2012' and in Port St. Joe & Mexico Beach, FL you can even celebrate the New Year twice! For some, New Year's is also a time for reflection and change with many willing to take that bold first step by making out their New Year's resolutions. That should be some time around mid March just after the Christmas decorations are taken down. Let's see,... number one - P R O C R A S T I N A T I O N. For those genuinely serious this time, the 'Burning Bowl Service' at Unity Church of Sarasota on Dec 31st could be a great start. Also the 'First Day Hike' event going on at some of Florida's State Parks may get 2012 started off on the right foot. And if you're already nostalgic for the old days, you'll find a few 2011 holiday leftovers at the end of the list still available to enjoy. There are lots of things to do in Florida December 31, 2011. And as for January 1 and 2 and the rest the year 2012... well,... y'all just have a good one.
