Things to do in Florida May 27, 28, 29, 30, 2011

There are many things to do in Florida may 27, 28, 29, 30, 2011 - some in direct observance of Memorial Day while others are more geared to just going out and having a good time (good luck Miami). Hopefully we will all find a place for both this weekend with some events making it quite easy already combining the two. The Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers and a few other well known Florida attractions will be offering free admission and other great deals to veterans and active military so be on the lookout for those if you qualify. To simplify your search, the arrangement of the list is a little different this week placing the Memorial Day related events at the top, with the remaining things to do in Florida May 27, 28, 29, 30, 2011 placed just after. Among these you'll find the Blue Crab Festival about to get under way in Palatka, FL just up the road from Florahome while also just to the north of us, The Jacksonville Jazz Festival, also a biggie around these parts will be cranking out some great music beginning on the 26th. If your vacation plans include Disney World, guess you already know about the new Star Wars attraction - Disney World's answer to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This may no longer apply as theme park crowds become savvy quite fast, but in the past it's been noted that when a park has a particularly popular new attraction such as the ones just mentioned, a beeline will form as soon as visitors clear the gate leaving the rest of the park fairly sparse. At some point later in the day when the park traffic is much more balanced it becomes apparent that the better plan would have been to make the more popular attraction last on the agenda when the crowds have dwindled. In fact if one was to head over there RIGHT NOW!!! Shortly after this revelation one notices a second beeline forming as this epiphany seems to occur to many around the same time. Oh well,... as was said, theme park crowds become savvy quite fast. If you do decide to go, May The Force be with you.
