From the 2012 International Martial Arts Festival at Walt Disney World's Dolphin Resort to the 41st Annual South Miami Art Festival, you'll find artists who kick butt and those who just paint them. There are so many Things to do in Florida August 24, 25, 26, 2012 you will need to eat a great deal to keep up your strength. Okay, that's a lame excuse for eating a great deal,... so how about the 3rd Great Southern Tailgate Cook-off on Amelia Island going on August 24th - 25th. Kick off the football season right with live music from The Little River band and other national, regional, and local bands, lots of food, sand and fun on one of north Florida's favorite shores. Music in fact is BIG this week. REEEALLY BIG, with The Fresh Beat Band treating some of Florida's youngest fans to a concert they'll be bopp'n' to in their dreams. And for music lovers of a different era, this week's list of things to do in Florida August 24, 25, 26, 2012 includes another dream concert featuring legendary guitarist Carlos Santana! Now that's BIG. There's also at least one other event happening this weekend you might say is both BIG and little - the Xtreme Indoor Karting's 6 Year Anniversary Celebration in Fort Lauderdale, FL on August 25th. Kid KJ, "The World’s Youngest Monster Truck Driver" will be there inspiring kids both small and large to reach for their own dreams. Just don't reach for any more ribs,...YOU'VE HAD ENOUGH!!! There are so many things to do in Florida April 15, 16, 17, 2011 - by the time you finish reading this list, the events will all be over. Just kidding - though there really are so many things to do in Florida this week that even Lady Gaga made sure her tour dates for Florida were scheduled for the middle of April with special appearances in Florahome and Sopchoppy. KIDDING! - Florahome is still adjusting to all the traffic from the new Farmers Market. Another celeb performing here in Florida this week is our own JIMMY BUFFETT! Yes Jim is ALL OURS. April 16th is Jimmy Buffett Day by the way, being so declared for all the guy has done for the state of Florida, for the earth and of course for his home town - Margaritaville. And oh yes dude, the Beach Boys (Help Me Rhonda!) will also be here jamming with John Stamos at Universal in Orlando on the 16th. Speaking of Universal, it's great having even more visitors from the UK stopping by the park these days having a particular interest in a certain new attraction there. Hearing those accents throughout the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter really makes Hogwarts feel like Hogwarts. Thanks also to UK guests visiting Florahome USA - you're always welcome here. Of all the things to do in Florida April 15, 16, 17, 2011 - please remember April 22 is Earth Day and you can already begin celebrating by attending at least one of the many Earth Day events set for this weekend. With the tragedy in Japan reminding us of our responsibility to the planet and its environment, these events help us to discover new ways each of us can contribute. It wasn't that long ago the oil spill off the Florida coast threatened our own state. Thankfully, through prayer and the dedicated efforts of a great many, the beaches today are as beautiful as ever and there are still a whole lot of things to do in Florida April 15, 16, 17, 2011.

When looking for things to do in Florida March 25, 26, 27, 2011 you may want to check out one of Florida's many weekend car shows. With cars playing such a major role in our lives, we all share a connection with them making car shows one of the most popular events with everyone from Grandma to the Hot Wheels set. Even if you're more into craft shows than chrome, you have to admit, the automobile is a genuine work of art with a past that will keep any history buff fascinated while stirring a big frothy cup of nostalgia for those of us who still remember what a clutch is. And for aficionados that have an ongoing love affair with these remarkable machines,... well they're already searching the list for the next big show. By the way, if you can't find a particular car show in this list of things to do in Florida March 25, 26, 27, 2011 or any future list posted each week on Florahome USA, you'll always find a link to more car shows included near the bottom of the list. A second event you may want to consider this weekend is one of Florida's county fairs. Here again is another rare place where both young and old can meet and actually have a good time. From clowns to cows, the county fair is blue ribbon Americana with rides, ring toss and red candied apples on a stick. As always though, these two events are only a couple of slices from the big apple pie of fun awaiting you this week in Florida. This week's list of things to do in Florida March 18, 19, 20, 2011 clearly shows just how diverse the state is. One of the main objectives of Florahome USA's 'Things to do in Florida' list is to appeal to as many tastes and interests as possible and while it's true you can't please everyone, this attempt really does cover a lot of ground. If you haven't yet taken off your clover green, there are still a few St. Patrick's day events left to enjoy but there's also the Asian Festival in Sarasota and the India Fest & Health Fair in Gainesville where you can sample a whole different world of taste and texture. That's another obvious point when scanning this list of things to do in Florida for March 18, 19, 20, 2011 - people, no matter where on the planet they happen to be from really do love to eat. While you'll rarely have trouble finding a good restaurant in Florida, it's also rare to find a special event here without food being a big part of the draw and this weekend is no exception. From Boca Raton's Boca Bacchanal to the Pinellas Park Firefighter's Chili Blaze, food is definitely a major theme. Tastes also vary in other areas as well but whether you get a kick out of Cole Porter or you'd rather be cuttin' the rug with The Flying Turtles String Band in High Springs, we've got you covered. Speaking of the dance at High Springs, if you're not taking advantage of all that Florida's State Parks and National Parks have to offer, you're missing out on some of the finest and most affordable activities you and your family could enjoy. Consider the photo of the suspension bridge at Ravine Gardens State Park shown below as an open invitation to join the rest of us who have taken that first step and discovered these natural wonders right in our own backyard.
