If your looking for things to do in Florida March 11, 12, 13, 2011
put on something green because one quick look at this week's list and you'll know Florida is going green in a big way for St. Patrick's Day 2011. Though officially St. Patrick's Day is not until March 17th, the celebrating will begin early with festivals, parades and all sorts of Celtic merry making going on in nearly every part of the state. Of course you need not be Irish to participate as most Americans will happily celebrate anything as long as there's food and drink involved. It does however enrich the experience knowing what the hoopla is all about, so if you're not acquainted with St. Patrick or bonny Erin of old, check out St. Patrick's Day.com to get the gist of what's going on. Other things to do in Florida this Mar 11, 12, 13, 2011 are a continuation of celebrations from last week with the flower show at Epcot still drawing thousands. And while we're on the subject - be sure to see Florahome USA's Florida Gardens post listing many of Florida's best gardens. Biker's are also currently in hog heaven with more events scheduled in Daytona, Orlando and other Bike friendly places here in Florida this week. The Sumter County Fair also opens this weekend along with the County Fair in Okeechobee, so get ready for those if your close enough to attend. With gas prices being what they are - or what they were on the gas prices page ten minutes ago, it's good that there ARE so many things to do in Florida March 11, 12, 13 2011. Hopefully you'll find something close to you. Have fun!

There are many things to do in Florida March 4, 5, 6, 2011. With those spring temperatures we've had this past week, many plant lovers are already descending on garden centers and plant nurseries alike quickly setting yards all across the state ablaze with every color of the rainbow. State parks and public display gardens in Florida of every description will also begin to welcome gardeners and others who just appreciate nature's annual (or perennial) exhibition to the grand opening showcase. Even Epcot at Walt Disney World does it up big with both ongoing evergreen and seasonal flower displays while greenthumbs with credentials dole out gardening advice to novice gardeners with sore knees. Also apparent in this things to do in Florida Mar 4, 5, 6, 2011 list is that flowers aren't the only thing that grow here in Florida with one of the biggest and most anticipated events this time of year having to do with a little red berry devoured by the ton in every toothsome concoction one can imagine. Yes Florida, it's the Strawberry festival at location near you. If you enjoy music, the Strawberry Festival in Plant City has a star studded line-up most promoters only dream about. And oh yes, there's one event in this list of things to do in Florida Mar 4, 5, 6, 2011 having nothing much to do with flowers or fruit. You may even be able to hear this one as Harley's from all points of the compass head for Bike Week in Daytona. So get your motor runnin' and head out on the highway - look for some adventure, in whatever comes your way,... like maybe something right here in this week's things to do in Florida list for March 4, 5, 6, 2011.

Things to do in Florida Nov 11, 12, 13, 14, 2010

There aren't quite as many things to do in our part of Florida as last week, but you may still find an event or two. For starters, make sure you stop by the Bazaar at the Florahome Methodist Church Saturday Nov. 13th. For those unfamiliar with the area, just turn north onto Coral Farms Rd. right off Florida State Road 100. You'll most likely see yard sales going on in the same area so you can hit them all at once. If you don't find what your looking for here you should also take a look just up the road in Grandin. For those willing to make the trip, the Greater Jacksonville Fair will be running through Nov. 14th and if you'd like to join those in Jacksonville in honoring our veterans, the Veterans Day Parade will be on Veterans Day - November 11. Here's something different - if you find yourself missing Halloween, they're having a Bat Festival in Gainesville on the 13th. Daytona Beach also has a couple of things you might want to check out. If your a movie buff Daytona's having a Film Festival and also a Chili cook-off at their baseball field. If you decide to hit the Chili Festival before the Film Festival, you should probably pick up a hefty supply of Beano on your way. Anyhow, here is your list of things to do in Florida around Nov. 11 - 14.

Festival in Palatka, Florida Nov. 6, 2010

There's another festival,... well actually two no farther than Palatka set for Saturday November 6, 2010 that were somehow missed in the 'Things to do in Florida' post. They're both earlier than The Gospel Sing here in Florahome scheduled for that same day and with all the good food you'll be consuming at the festivals you'll have plenty of fuel left for the concert. The All Saints Anglican Church 1250 SR 19 South, Palatka are going all out with their Community Fall Festival offering everything from live music to a petting zoo. It sounds like a lot of fun. The Festival will be 10am to 4pm and if you need more info you can click here. From 8am - 1pm, Lake Hill Baptist Church at 5165 County Road 214, Keystone Heights, FL will be having their Family Festival as well. Free hot dogs and drinks will get you to that gospel concert, so take the kids over to Lake Hill and have a good time. Contact Lake Hill Baptist at (352) 473-4191.
