Florida fireworks - laws and safety
Fireworks are a big part of the fourth of July and other special occasions, but if used improperly or illegally, they can cause a lot of damage to life and property. That's especially true in those parts of Florida that have yet to see much rain, so check with local officials to learn of any restrictions that may be in place. You can also find out about Florida's laws concerning fireworks HERE. If you do plan to use any type of fireworks, please also check out The National Council on Fireworks Safety. Things to do in Florida July 1, 2, 3, 4, 2011
Taking over this list of things to do in Florida July 1, 2, 3, 4 2011 is the 4th of July or Independence Day - the day a ragtag band of British colonists decided they had outgrown Papa's rule and thought to go it alone. The odds against such a thing ever happening at the time was something like on Leave it to Beaver, when the Beave' decides to run away from home. Ward thought it was cute but figured he'd teach little Theodore a lesson and allow him to make good on his plan. Trouble was, Mrs. Cleaver believed the Beaver might just succeed and so did those crazy colonists. Americans have been crazy ever since adopting the bumble bee's philosophy of rising above "expert" opinion and redefining what is possible. Even in celebrating our independence, we Americans defy the odds downing an impossible amount of hot dogs, watermelon and apple pie. We have a whole list of things to do in Florida this July 1, 2, 3, 4 2011 to commemorate that fateful day ranging from parades and potato sack races to just sitting back and enjoying our favorite music. But the great culmination of all this celebrating of our freedom comes at night when every true blooded American watches those fireworks with goosebumps feeling every explosion of color and sound is just for them. That's how freedom feels and why so many today sacrifice all. Because Independence is not free, as the soldier watching those fireworks from a power chair well knows - it was, and has always been the price of their independence that paid for ours.

Things to do in Florida June 24, 25, 26, 2011
Okay it's HOT!. But there are still some things to do in Florida June 24, 25, 26, 2011 for those who don't melt that easy. Like the St. George Island Sizzler 5K race and One Mile Fun Run. Sounds like something the Navy Seals do for fun but there it is. Most individuals entering such an event have conditioned themselves and also know what to do if they get into trouble from the heat, but for those who consider a walk from the car to the mall during summer in Florida a trophy worthy accomplishment, it may be wise to click on this link and learn the symptoms and what to do if you do get overheated. Many other things to do in Florida June 24, 25, 26, 2011 are not quite as grueling as a one mile run but still supply a generous helping of fun - like the Panhandle Watermelon Festival in Chipley, FL to welcome in the first days of summer. Farther south around the Sarasota area, the Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix also looks like a lot of fun with a boat show AND a car show. Can't beat that. Orlando's Wet 'n Wild Summer BBQ Beach Bash is another way to beat the heat and be sure to take note of Florahome USA's posts on Florida Water parks and the one on Florida's beaches if a plunge in the deep sounds cool. Dominating this list of things to do in Florida June 17, 18, 19, 2011 is dear old Dad. Though you'll find all the events enjoyable whether you're a father or not, June 19th IS 'Fathers Day' and the big guy will finally get his 15 minutes in the spotlight. Of course no two dads are entirely the same and having their own unique idea of the perfect way to celebrate their special day, a wide variety of events have been included. For the active dad you may want to head on over to the 'I Love Father's Day 5K' in Palm Harbor or maybe even try a snorkeling adventure in Fort Lauderdale for a cooler day of fun. Both Dad and the kids will enjoy a trip to the zoo or how about Dinosaur World in Plant City, FL where Dad gets a freebie on his admission to the park. Be sure to take note when going over the list of things to do in Florida for June 17, 18, 19, 2011 of any special restrictions on Father's Day specials. These are generally indicated on the individual websites. This would also be a good time for all of us to remember our military fathers who along with their families make sacrifices daily to preserve our freedom. A kind gesture or show of support, especially for those unable to be together on Father's Day would let them know how much they're appreciated. A gift to organizations such as Patriot Service Dogs could also go a long way in helping make life better for our veterans. Finally in an effort to be fair, it should be mentioned that Keith Urban will be in both Jacksonville and Tampa this weekend - there are at least a few things to do in Florida for June 17, 18, 19, 2011 that could turn Father's Day into Mother's day as well!

Things to do in Florida June 10, 11, 12, 2011
When looking for things to do in Florida June 10, 11, 12, 2011 some of you will be satisfied with a nice dip at the nearest beach Others however will be heading for a Florida marina with this coming Saturday, June 11th being National Marina Day. Topping the list of things to do in Florida this week are a few of Florida's favorite slips and if being aboard your treasured watercraft is your idea of the perfect day, this would be a great time to explore all that Florida's marinas have to offer. Turtle Cove Marina is one of those listed, but also in Tarpon Springs June 12th, the Astro Skate and Fun Center is celebrating the Astro's 30th birthday with a skating party! Tarpon Springs has always been Florida's big fat Greek blessing with some of the best dining you'll find anywhere, but this weekend sounds like even more fun! One of the things to do in Florida June 10, 11, 12, 2011 is along the same stretch of road passing through Florahome in Jasper, Florida just south of the Florida/Georgia state line. It's high time tribute was paid to one of Florida's favorite southern delights and Jasper's Wild Blackberry Festival does just that,... yum! Also among the things to do in Florida June 10, 11, 12, 2011 many have the added bonus of helping others in the process so please make note of those. If you'd just like to relax though..., maybe have some great food and a lot of laughs, Barry Williams - yes Greg "Here's the story" Brady himself will be playing at Jacksonville's Alhambra Dinner Theatre in 'The Odd Couple' thru June 19th. Wild blackberries and a Brady in one weekend - just can't get any more American than that!
