Florahome USA Blog

The Florahome USA blog has maybe found a little good news about Florida for a change. Tomorrow's opening day for the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction at Orlando's Universal Studios theme park and with its investment of over $200 million and a legion of Harry Potter fans, it's a much needed brightspot in Florida's gloomy news of late. If one British production company can so damage Florida's tourist trade, perhaps another can work some magic and bring it back. Of course Harry Potter fans know Harry's the 'chosen one' but it may take the whole cast with wands out to rescue Florida from the oil dragon still lurking off the coast. You can find the latest on the oil spill here, but if you find it just too depressing, at least now all you readers of the Florahome USA blog know where to go in Florida to get some butterbeer.

FLORAHOME BLOG - Oil Spill Update

The Florahome USA blog oil spill update for June 10 2010 finds at the moment about as much frustration in those states threatened by the oil in the gulf as the amount of oil itself. Efforts to pin down an accurate figure for the amount of oil being released into the gulf are still ongoing. One of the main problems causing all the frustration is that no one knows if or when the oil may reach the Florida coast. The other big cause for concern is that the people who live and work in the area and who have the most to lose if the situation isn't handled correctly are not the ones in control of the situation, BP is. Having a bear just outside the family's camping tent is a scary thing. Trusting a gas station attendant you don't know to take care of the bear is even scarier. While we wait, thanks to those who are working and preparing to work to get us through this crisis and a special thanks to all those who visit the Florahome USA blog and who are continuing to pray for the best outcome possible.

Florahome USA Oil Spill Update

Considering the importance an impact the Deepwater Horizon oil spill has on all residence of the state of Florida, the Florahome USA blog is continuing to post updates, but The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has been designated the lead state agency for responding to potential impacts of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill along Florida’s shoreline. That website will serve as the primary location for updates and information on response actions and impacts to the state of Florida. At this point, no one knows for sure how much oil is actually being released into the gulf, but this report doesn't sound too good. As always, thanks for visiting Florahome USA.

Florahome Blog - Florahome, Florida

This post for the Florahome USA blog of Florahome, Florida is an
update on the current oil situation. --- Part of the gulf has been reopened for fishing, but how long Florida can avert this man-made monster is anyone's guess. Although Florahome is a good distance from the beach, no one in Florida is going to avoid the effects of this disaster if it does reach the Florida shore the way it has in Louisiana. To see Florida's beautiful beaches, its wildlife and economy threatened each day is hard for any resident of the state to witness and especially for those of us who have lived here all our life and have so many memories. Pray that those memories aren't all we'll be left with when this crisis is over. This BBC report illustrates more clearly than most exactly what is happening with the leak itself and will hopefully help in understanding the situation for readers of the Florahome USA blog. Thanks also to those praying for Louisiana and Florida.
