Florida's High-speed Train Pain
While here in Florahome Florida we await the construction of our new but low-tech bike trail, others in the state have a need for speed and instead of turning their rails to trails are opting to keep the rails and SMOKE THEM BAD BOYS!!! Actually, the desire for a high-speed train in Florida has been around for many years and even now with the proposed Tampa-Orlando-Miami route ready to make that dream a reality, the age old question 'how-ya gonna pay for it?' is still being asked. As it turns out, the upcoming election may play a role in whether those folks to the south are rocketing down the rails in 2015, or still swiping their cards at another Florida gas station. As for us, all we'll need here in Florahome is a little more Icy-Hot.

Florahome USA Blog
The Florahome USA blog has maybe found a little good news about Florida for a change. Tomorrow's opening day for the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction at Orlando's Universal Studios theme park and with its investment of over $200 million and a legion of Harry Potter fans, it's a much needed brightspot in Florida's gloomy news of late. If one British production company can so damage Florida's tourist trade, perhaps another can work some magic and bring it back. Of course Harry Potter fans know Harry's the 'chosen one' but it may take the whole cast with wands out to rescue Florida from the oil dragon still lurking off the coast. You can find the latest on the oil spill here, but if you find it just too depressing, at least now all you readers of the Florahome USA blog know where to go in Florida to get some butterbeer.
